ChemSpider InChi Resolver API

The service provides tools for discovering and generating new InChIStrings and InChIKeys for chemical compounds. These International Chemical Identifiers conform to a format determined by the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry to uniquely name compounds across different chemistry research contexts. Functions include conversion between alternative identifier strings for the same compounds.

API methods support generation of InChI strings, either by converting other formats, e.g., SMILE, or uploading or creating drawings of chemical structures. Resolver methods interpret InChIString or InChIKey values submitted with the request and return the associated chemical structures.
