EPA Environmental Dataset Gateway API

The service provides access to a number of datasets containing recorded levels of environmental variables measured and tracked by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. A number of datasets document various monitoring programs over time tracking pollutants and environmental conditions affecting air quality, water quality, and land-borne contaminants. EPA staff and contractors can access both current and historical data via the service, built as an instance of ESRI Geoportal Server.

API methods support listing of available datasets and selection of desired data based on location and conditions of interest to a researcher. Methods also support retrieval of desired datasets in formats suitable for further analysis.
