FlightStats API

The service provides a wide variety of information related to aviation and air travel, including scheduling and flight delays, aircraft current position and route tracking, on-time and service ratings, weather affecting aviation, and airport information. Real-time alerts provide flight departure and arrival information with delay indexes. Route schedules and best connections data also are available, along with ratings of historic on-time performance, airport weather, and more.

API methods support retrieval of flight status and airport status, including real-time indexes of current flight delays. Methods generate flight schedules with connections to determine routes to a destination. The API also provides reports of historic on-time ratings by route and individual flight, along with basic listings of airports by location and region. An updated weather API consolidates reports of conditions currently affecting aviation and air travel in several formats: METAR, TAF, and Zone Forecasts.
