FoodSpex API

The service provides detailed nutritional information for a large selection of food products available at markets in Belgium, including generic food types and name-brand commercial products. Information provided includes bar code, nutritional content such as calories and fat content, and a complete list of ingredients included. Information is targeted at retailers, dieticians and nutritionists, and public health programs among others.

API methods support retrieval of food product information by generic name and brand name. Methods also provide supporting content relevant to a topic by either chapter or paragraph. Returned data include product name and available brands, nutritional content, package types, and related variables.
