LongTail Video produces JW Player, an internet video player. Bits on the Run manages the complete video workflow including uploading, transcoding, streaming, and analyzing. The Bits on the Run Developer API allows developers to insert Bits on the Run functionality into any website or application. This includes video uploads, player embeds, and thumbnail creation. The provider offers API kits that manage the authentication, serialization and sending of API calls, streamlining the interaction with Bits on the Run. The API uses RESTful calls and responses are formatted in XML and JSON, as well as serialized PHP and Python.
