Nokia Ovi Maps Rendering API

Nokia offers numerous client APIs as well as a server API that enable users to add Ovi Maps to their service, application, or website. All of the APIs support the same core functionality, allowing users to display interactive maps, show locations and places, and calculate and display routes.

The Ovi Maps Rendering API enables the display of geographical positions, points of interest, routes, turn points, junction views, and similar location-based information. The data required to specify what should be displayed and how it's displayed - including position, radius, zoom level, map type, and alike - are specified by parameters as part of a simple URL request. This URL can be shared by SMS or developers can embed the resulting map images into their own applications.
