The web service provides real-time data about activities affecting the New Zealand National Highway Network. Information provided covers road construction, accidents, and weather conditions affecting traffic. The system provides information for situations likely to cause delays of 20 minutes or more.

Methods in the TREIS API provide detailed data about Events and Incidents related to a specified location. Methods also allow separate retrieval of General Warnings relevant to the country's North Island and South Island.
