VINquery API

The service provides real-time decoding of automobile vehicle identifier numbers (VINs). It accepts HTTP requests with VIN numbers and returns detailed specifications for the make, model, and year plus optional equipment implied by the submitted digits.

API methods support submission of a valid character string representing a VIN for an individual car. Returned data break down the manufacturer and model, plus the year, engine and transmission installed, and some other configuration details encoded in the VIN.
