The Meteotest Data Exchange API provides data and weather forecasts. Available in German language, Meteotest offers measurements of the past and forecasts of the future, in addition to information about temperature, sunshine, rain showers, snow and wind and fog and thunder and lightning calculated by Meteonorm software. Global Forest Watch

The Global Forest Watch API allows developers to retrieve information on forest change measures, including cover loss, tree cover gain, and disturbances. Specific data that developers can retrieve includes University of Maryland tree cover loss & gain, FORMA (FORest Monitoring for Action) alerts, IMAZON SAD (Deforestation Alert System) alerts, QUICC (Quarterly Indicator of Cover Change) alerts, and NASA active fires. This API is currently in Beta.

RNAcentral allows users to access RNA sequence data stored in multiple expert databases. The RNAcentral API is web-browsable, which means that data can be served in both human- and computer-friendly formats. Most of the data available through RNAcentral can be integrated into other systems and applications using the API.

The API is able to deliver feeds for bibliographic data from various departments and projects, access data describing single publications, subsets of the collection, or the collection in whole, search for publications using a variety of parameters, and much more.

RandomUser is an API providing developers with randomly generated users to be used as placeholders for testing purposes. This makes the tool similar to Lorem Ipsum, but is a placeholder for people instead of text. The API can return multiple results, as well as specify generated user details such as gender, email, image, username, address, title, first and last name, and more.


STARS is a program of AASHE, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education. STARS, the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment, and Rating System, is a self-reporting framework for colleges and universities in the United States or Canada to measure and track their sustainability performance. The STARS API exposes three resources: Institutional metadata, reports, and the STARS technical manual. This is a REST API that currently only accepts GET requests.
