Integrating Payments API Questions
For those looking to add payment services capabilities to applications, what are your considerations when looking at and researching APIs?
Of course I would expect security, pricing, processor relationship, payment service and language options are all requirements in integrating payments. But, are any of those items more of a priority than another?
Would the ability for a payments API to support multi-service, multi-provider capability be an added benefit to your development efforts, especially if you need to add multiple payment option acceptance (ie. check, gift card, bank card, etc.)?
