Expressions of interest for Data Visualisation project - UK Government
Apologies in advance if this is not the correct place to post this.
We are a UK Government Department, about to commission a short (3 month) project evaluating data visualisation technologies and methods. We are looking for expressions of interest - please see details and contact below if you are interested in tendering an application.
Data Visualisation Evaluation Project
**PLEASE NOTE - This notice is for Expressions on Interest ONLY**
The UK Department of Communities and Local Government (CLG) wishes to commission an evaluation of current data visualisation solutions, with particular emphasis on the analysis and presentation of small area data (i.e., ONS Lower Super Output Area).
The project will sign-post known visualisation solutions, as well as providing guidance on the (a.) benefits, drawbacks, and (b.) the join-up between the use of visualisation solutions at different levels of the government delivery chain (such as central, regional, and local information systems).
We are looking for a project team that can demonstrate experience and expertise in using and developing visualisation solutions for socio-economic statistics. Experience of working with a range of public sector bodies, especially the local government sector, would be an advantage. You should also be able to demonstrate a record of managing and successfully delivering high-quality reports within time constraints.
The project will conclude with a written report as well as an oral presentation. In addition, CLG is interested in ideas for innovative and interactive visual outputs tailored to the subject matter.
To express interest in this project please e-mail Richard.Nelson@communities.gsi.gov.uk quoting ref. CPD/004/079/0100 to receive an Expression of Interest application form.
Following scrutiny of Expressions of Interest, Invitations to Tender are scheduled to be sent out to selected tenderers by early December 2008 and we hope to appoint the successful contractor in January 2009.
