Newbie

Being new to programming , and learning .NET , Id just like to get an opinion whether creating mashups is possible for a newcomer like myself without much experience. And also an opinion on which sources to go learn how to create mashups for the beginner.

Re: Newbie

Hi Bud,

Yes, doing mashups with .NET and without much experience is possible. You could get a good rundown of tutorials on our How To page:

http://www.programmableweb.com/howto

Hope this helps.

Re: Newbie

I created my mashup with some pretty basic knowledge of PHP (though I have long dabbled with programming, since my C64 6502 assembler days!)

I don't know anything about .NET but I'd say the most important knowledge is handling XML (probably there are some libraries which make this simple), manipulating strings, use of arrays - maybe I missed something, but it really is pretty straightforward. Most of all you need a little imagination!
