How do we measure reliability of mashups?

It just hit that before one chose which mashup application to use we don't really do reliability checking on the application but focus only on the functionality being offered by apps that suite our needs.

When speaking of reliability I mean interms of:
1.Validity
2.Content
3.Purpose
4.Browser compatability.
5.Contractual agreement between mashup consumer & provider(if any)
6.Accuracy
7.consumer's site rankings.

Is there a procedure that get used to measure above points??
As trustworthy is very crucial on 3rd part application

Re: How do we measure reliability of mashups?

PointAbout was one of the mobile development shops that had the good sense to show up early to the party. Weíve been iPhone developers since 2008, working with clients in the media/entertainment, transportation, and retail verticals, among others. The breadth of our mobile application projects over the last three years means there isnít a lot we havenít seen, heard, and/or been asked to do on an iOS device. Donít believe us? Re: How do we measure reliability of mashups?

Well there you go, modistm2...develop a reliability score for mashups! Call it the "modistm2 Mashup Reliability Index"!!

I think the first three criteria on your list (validity, content, purpose) are a bit subjective and thus matters of personal tastes, but your others are right on.

I'm surprised the API providers don't have some sort of built-in scorecard associated with their mashups. Maybe some do, I'm not sure. That's probably a good question for other threads in the PW forums.
