Unless you've tried to make a sports app, you might not realize how hard it is to get data about sports. And most sports are full of data about possession, assists and other sporty attributes. The Sports Data API aims to make it more available, at prices that should allow more apps to be able to afford including the data.
CyclingBuddy is a "free platform that allows members to find other members to go cycling with." Described as the "Social Networking platform for cyclists," CyclingBuddy unites cyclists around the globe and promotes sharing routes, training tips, and overall opinions on cycling. In a strategic move, CyclingBuddy recently opened its API to allow developers to integrate with its platform. CyclingBuddy founder and CEO, Tony Piedade, commented: "we are really good at motivating people to cycle, while Apps are great at recording progress and performance." Piedade envisions great partnership opportunities where "everybody wins."
Thanks to a new deal between the NFL and Sportradar US, on-field performance data for players will be available thanks to a new API and RFID chips in shoulder pads.
