This project has an interesting idea. It uses a GeoIP locator and the Hot or Not API to give people a quick peek at what is in their city. The interface is minimal but quite a bit better than Hot or Not's one person per page. There is plenty more information to add (tag clouds). Whether or not you like the concept of modern dating, it's worth a look. It seems to be using C#.
