This application invites Californians to explore demographic patterns in a fun and engaging way, and our hope is that the healthy competition among county governments will lead to improving efficiencies for all.

* The application converts raw data available through data.ca.gov (and California Department of Finance) into easy-to-understand information for common people.

* Easy way to compare and look at counties. We feel that this is extremely useful for businesses planning their activities throughout various counties in the state.

* Pitting counties together against each other is an innovative idea however, the real innovation is in technologies we implemented to make the idea extensible to a variety of data sets.

* We believe that this will lead to more collaboration amongst the stakeholders at state and local government levels to improve the information access and data sharing. This may eventually result in improved efficiencies which all of us will enjoy.
