Users can navigate to California counties through an interactive map and see the trends of population, income, unemployment, new housing units, etc. over a number of past years. The application plots diverse metrics on the same chart to allow users to compare and contrast the patterns of growth and decline in various categories and the relationships between them.

This application allows the citizen and businesses to look at the data and the trends and patterns of growth/decline in various categories.

When various metrics are presented on the same graph, users can see the relative effects of each factor and make inferences about indicators and effects. This summary data, presented visually and cleanly, converts mundane data into a story that businesses can use.

The subsequent trends are useful in identifying the collaboration opportunities for different government and non-governmental entities at state and local level. We hope to keep adding to the application as more datasets become available to improve the efficiencies in the state of California.
