Mashups using the same API (711)
Anyvite is a straight-forward service for creating online invitations. Integrates APIs from Google Maps, Flickr, Plaxo, Twitter and YouTube.
This mashup draws from the YouTube API for random and endless playback from YouTube retro videos. Videogames and video stock from 70's, 60's, world wars, etc..
One Hit Wonders from Forbes, Wikipedia and American Idol are mapped. Also includes videos from YouTube for many entries.
You probably have a ton of stuff on the Internet, all contained within your "digital life stream", spread across a seemingly unending list of web services and social networks. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a way to search through all of that, Google style? Enter Greplin, almost certainly named after the Unix grep command, taking the many service inputs and piping them to its search tool.
Developers are often finding themselves as API providers in addition to consumers. The same is now true for me with my project, BuildaSearch. I recently released a BuildaSearch API for deeper site search integration, moving away from a more plug-and-play approach I took earlier on.
Semantic searching can retrieve results that surprise you, hopefully in a good way. So it seems like the natural means for discovery when you dont know what you want to find. Services like Jinni, a semantic discovery engine for movies and TV shows, is the perfect example.
