We are “riding the new wave” of web 2.0 using AJAX and web services etc. The idea is to build a web application much like traditional desktop applications yet with large amount of search capabilities in the backend servers. You may notice that the “windows” or panels in the UI can be dragged, closed and shrunk to taskbar, much like windows application. In addition to the UI framework, we’ve also build a generic mapping platform that allow different mapping providers, e.g., google map, yahoo map, msn virtual earth to be plugged into the mapping application without code change.
