Mashups using the same API (1136)
Today's mashup of the day, the crowdsourced playlist creator, marks telephony-as-a-service provider Twilio's 100th mashup added to the ProgrammableWeb directory. The tremendous interest in the Twilio platform put it in the top five APIs of 2010 by mashup count. In this post, we'll look at three Twilio applications that have recently received funding.
While Twitter mashups continue their tremendous growth, there's another area we're also noticing blossom: Twitter APIs. These developer-created apps process data from Twitter, adding value and sharing that back out for developers.
Twitter announced a beta version of its mobile site with a cleaner look, new features and a backend powered by the microblogging site's popular API (our Twitter API profile). The new site is running in tandem with the current mobile site, though Twitter plans to phase out the old site. What makes us excited is how they built it.
