Governments across the world have made attempts to restrict usage of messaging technology by its citizens for various purposes. The latest is the ban on bulk SMS and MMS by mobile users in India by the Government of India. Rowan Trollope, Cisco senior vice president for collaboration, and Rajen Sheth, a product manager for Google Enterprise, took the stage to show a prototype of the Cisco Webex conferencing service running on a Chromebook. In the future, Cisco and Google will make it possible to launch WebEx directly from Google Calendar and start an instant meeting from the Google Contact Card and the Google People widget. Users will also be able to connect with others by clicking on phone numbers or extensions displayed in Gmail or Google Apps.
