Build With UK Market Data & Job Listings

Adzuna has just announced the release of their developer portal where they now host the Adzuna API, a real time job market database. By allowing access to a trove of data regarding job listings, salary trends, hiring patterns, and more, the Adzuna API is expected to engage developers to create new apps or mashups that can help empower unemployed workers to choose where to live and work, as well as allow government and business members keep more informed as to the status of the job market. 

Current data pertains to the UK, Germany, Australia, Canada, South Africa, and Brazil, but the API is expected to include additional regions in the near future. Similar to Adzuna’s 'Jobsworth,' a web app that returns an estimated salary for keyword job desciriptions, the compiled employment information for the API is taken from the following sectors: new graduates, journalists, software, engineering, marketing, accounting and finance. The Adzuna API is an open source tool free for public use.
