The Cloudstock Hackathon that we're co-hosting is today. Registration is open and the prizes are worth signing up and giving it a go. Best in Show takes home a MacBook Pro for each team member. And there are great API-specific prizes, such as Amazon Kindles and O'Reilly books for the best use of the voice and SMS Twilio API.

The event officially kicks off at 1:15 p.m. Pacific, but you can register for the hackathon here.

Things will happen fast, because between 4:00 and 4:30 your team needs to set up a presentation time. Then, start polishing that application--and your pitch--because the hackathon finale and presentations start at 5:30.

In addition to the Best in Show prize, there are four other official categories: commercial, non-profit, enterprise and mobile. Winners in those categories take home iPads for the whole team (up to three).

Each application needs to use at least two partner APIs. We provided a run-down of some Cloudstock partner APIs in a previous post.
