LexisNexis Risk Solutions, a risk management solution provider, has launched its inaugural High Performance Computing Cluster (HPCC) Systems Developer Contest. The contest provides a platform for developers and technologists to showcase how HPCC is leveraged to solve big data or complex query problems. For accepted applications, all participants receive a submission prize and have case studies published in marketing materials. Contestants may submit up to three case studies.
"We look forward to learning more about the experiences developers and other companies are having by leveraging HPCC Systems to solve their unique challenges,” Flavio Villanustre, LexisNexis' vice president, products and infrastructure, HPCC Systems, said in a press release.
HPCC Systems is LexisNexis' open source, enterprise-grade platform used for big data analysis in a 24/7 environments. HPCC Systems drives the data services behind LexisNexis Risk Solutions. The platform serves clients across many industries and produces nearly $1.5 billion in yearly revenue.
The developer contest has opened and will run through Feb. 27. Participants must meet the case study guidelines. Judges will evaluate submissions based on overall completeness of case study, ability to demonstrate a "before" and "after" story, and the inclusion of an architecture, diagram or data flow. Prizes include Google Glass Explorer Edition, GoPro Hero3+ and Bose IE2 headphones. To learn more, visit the contest site.
