The travelling mobile app competition AppCircus is again coming to SXSW. Last year mobile developers joined the circus, with competitors coming from all over the world. The deadline to apply this year is Friday, February 24.

Here's how the site describes AppCircus SXSW:

We will be showcasing mobile apps from all over the world at the Circus Mashimus tent, you will get to see apps that have presented at the Mobile Premier awards and AppCircus winners from 2011 as well as the latest apps applying to pitch for this event. AppCircus finalists will be showcased for an hour on Saturday and Sunday, March 10th-11th, with a final showcase on Monday, March 12th from 2-4 pm.

The site's past winners section gives an idea of the competition, including Bear Care, an augmented reality iOS game.

I will represent ProgrammableWeb on the AppCircus jury, joining Mashery (a ProgrammableWeb sponsor), Foursquare and Rovio. Interested developers should apply right away. The competition closes to new entrants on February 24. You can register your app on the AppCircus site.
