Today in APIs: KidoZen Adds Salesforce APIs, Vivante Introduces Updated API Compatibility and 7 New APIs

KidoZen, leading provider of mobile platform as a service, announced that Salesforce.com’s mobile APIs are now part of KidoZen’s backend as a service platform. Vivante has launched its new Vega IP product line that includes new API support, and 7 new APIs.

KidoZen Adds Salesforce APIs to Backend as a Service Platform

Last month, KidoZen announced the release of its Enterprise Systems APIs Platform. Now, KidoZen has announced the availability of Salesforce.com’s mobile APIs as part of its enterprise Backend as a Service (BaaS) platform. Mobile developers can build enterprise mobile solutions that utilize features and capabilities of the Salesforce.com platform. Jesus Rodriguez, KidoZen founder and CEO, explained:

“Integration with CRM systems is an essential element of emerging mobile-first business such as field force, marketing, sales management among many others…. The addition of Salesforce.com services extends KidoZen enterprise systems APIs ecosystem and allow organizations to build enterprise mobile solutions that seamlessly integrate with the Salesforce.com platform.”

Vivante Launches New Vega GPUs with Broad API Support

Vivante, provider of GPU IP solutions, has launched a new Vega IP product. The new Vega GPUs doubles graphics and compute power over competitive products and offers a broad range of API support. Expanded API support includes OpenGL ES 3.0 and OpenCL Full Profile. Jon Peddie, President of Jon Peddie Research, described what it takes to win in the GPU space:

"The GPU vendor that can deliver the most complete solution in an optimized package will win. Looking at the Vega product line, Vivante has an opportunity to hit the sweet spot for mass market manufacturers by combining API compatibility with performance and design flexibility in a small silicon package."

APIs You Shouldn’t Miss

7 New APIs

Today we had 7 new APIs added to our API directory including a business accounting service, a data analysis service, a platform for public data sources and analysis, a location data normalization and enrichment tools service, a name data enrichment and parsing tool and a communications platform for web & mobile applications. Below are more details on each of these new APIs.

BeansBooksBeansBooks API: BeansBooks is a cloud-based accounting service for small and medium sized businesses. The service tracks financial data and progress to make report creation and generations easier. The service also facilitates year end reporting and tax preparation. The BeansBooks API allows users to source entries and vendor information from other related applications. The API can also automate accounting tasks like account creations. The API includes calls for getting account, customer, tax, setup, and vendor information. The services uses REST calls and returns JSON. An API key is required for access.

Boston Predictive AnalyticsBoston Predictive Analytics API: Boston Predictive Analytics is a business intelligence provider that uses data analytics and statistical analysis to provided target approaches to business problems so that users can focus on other tasks. The Boston Predictive Analytics API is a big data application that allows users to integrate customer segmentation, spam detection, leads scoring, message routing, fraud analysis, and many other functions into existing applications. An account is required with service, and the API cost $99 per month for access.

EnigmaEnigma API: Enigma is a platform that brings together thousands of various public data sources. Enigma allows users to view and analyze data by various data variables, combining and viewing datasets to provide new insights and analysis.

The Enigma API allows developers to access and integrate the functionality of Enigma with other applications and to create new applications. Public documentation is not available; interested developers should sign up here for more information: http://dev.enigma.io/.

FullContact LocationFullContact Location API: FullContact provides a suite of tools to support individuals, businesses, and developers in managing and enhancing their contact data.
The FullContact Location API allows customer applications to parse and structure semi-structured location data. The API is also capable of enriching incomplete location data by adding continent, population size, and other fields.

FullContact NameFullContact Name API: FullContact provides a suite of tools to support individuals, businesses, and developers in managing and enhancing their contact data.
The FullContact Name API allows customer applications to parse unstructured name data, deduce structured names from usernames and email addresses, return name statistics based on the US population, and to access a number of other name data enhancing features.

LayerLayer API: Layer is a platform for all types of communication for the internet, web applications, and mobiles applications. Layer allows users to build text messaging, voice messaging, and video functionality into applications for communication.

The Layer API allows developers to access and integrate the functionality of Layer with other applications and to create new applications. Some example API methods include creating and managing users, sending and receiving messages, and accessing and managing contacts.

TaDawebTaDaweb API: TaDaweb is a platform that allows users to bring together numerous datasets and sources for data manipulation, analysis, and combination. TaDaweb also allows users to save their combined datasets and analysis and publish them.

The TaDaweb API allows developers to access and integrate the functionality of TaDaweb with other applications and to create new applications. Public documentation is not available; API access comes with account service.
