Trade.TF Ads API to Trading Site
Trade.TF is a trading site for users of the Steam games platform. Listings are divided into Good deals, Live deals, Fair deals and all listings. The REST Trade.tf API returns JSON; an account is required to obtain an API key.
The API itself pulls in quality data from the Steam Getschema WebAPI. Each item has five fields: unit (currency of the item's price), unsure (based on certainty of price), low end of the possible value, mid and hi representing the other median value possibilities. Qualities mimic the Steam qualities, with uncraftable assigned -1. Pricing (for the items, not the API) is available via an automated spreadsheet.
Google Strengthens Android Fitness Offerings
Google is apparently racing to catch up with Apple's iOS 7 to aggregate fitness sensor data on Android 4.4. The accelerometer, the gyroscope, compass data and more, mean that the need for an updated fitness app for Android is pressing.
As Dan Rowinski reports on Readwrite, the My Tracks app (featured above) has been around for a long time and needs a revamp:
When you start incorporating all these sensors, the ability to track your workout stops being linear—GPS location to the cloud—and starts becoming more of like a fitness mesh network in your phone (and maybe soon, your smartwatch). Hence, a fitness API to coordinate, organize and export all of this data becomes much more necessary than it was previously.
With step detector and other sensors expected in Android phones this year, Google appears to be off and running. What's more, an API detected by Googlesystem, an unofficial site monitoring Google's OS, suggesting that it could be available in the next Andoid release or in Google Play Services.
