Additional details have been released for Chirp, the Official Twitter Developer Conference, which we initially covered last week. Twitter developers will be pleased to learn that the conference will take place over two days on April 15-16, 2010, in San Francisco, California.

Chirp Details

The first day of the conference will take place at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre, followed by a 24 hour "Hack Day" at the Herbst Pavilion in the Fort Mason Center. The Hack Day includes meals, workshops, and some other goodies, as well as the opportunity to showcase your app or mashup in front of investors and members of the media. Speakers at the conference will include Twitter co-founders Ev Williams and Biz Stone, as well as Ryan Sarver (Director of Platform) and Dick Costolo (CTO). Other speakers will be announced as the conference nears.

One of the interesting things about this conference is the approach to registration, which is definitely geared towards developers. Twitter will be releasing 800 tickets to interested developers in waves of 100 tickets. The catch: you must use the Twitter API to obtain the password used for registration.

Chirp Registration

The conference fee is $469, although Twitter has made "scholarship" tickets available based to those hungry developers who may not be able to cover the fee on their own. This event is certainly taking shape, and we look forward to seeing the fruits of the creativity and hackery that is sure to occur at Chirp. BTW, there is a secret portal with a secret prize somewhere on the site.
