Greetings! This is just a preliminary collection of words before I get round to doing a proper entry. I am Casper, creator of Razor GoMojo, the independent music fan community and search tool. Independent should not be interpreted as arty btw. Users are very welcome to add mainstream artists. Add? Oh yes, because GoMojo has its own user created knowledge base of bands and their members, clubs, festivals, releases and gigs. You may be asking yourself what this has to do with mashups. Well GoMojo uses a number of different APIs and mashes them up particularly on the Web artist/event search page, which combines SNOCAP, eBay and Amazon with filtered syndicated news, data from the GoMojo knowledge base and various links, including ones to iTunes, Live365 (radio) and eMusic. User profiles may be used as blogs with auto-ping to Technorati. The desktop app has heavy integration with Amazon eCommerce and Flickr. Search the Amazon catalogue using a compact, dedicated browser. On the photo side, you can pull event data from your Web account into the desktop app and use it to tag batches of photos, then upload them to your own Flickr account, optionally inserting into a selected set. I intend to continue expanding the selection of integrated services on the site and would love to receive requests! For more background about the whole GoMojo project and how it evolved, please have a look at http://www.gomojo.net/about.php I would like to mention that GoMojo runs free banner ads for selected independent artists and charitable organisations. Please do click on them. They do not earn the site any money, but they are all very worthy of your attention. Please come and explore, join, contribute and generally have fun at: http://www.gomojo.net Cheers for now, | |
