Bing Maps SDK for Windows 8

Bing Maps offers an SDK to develop mapping applications for Windows 8. The new additions include updated road maps and aerial views. Coupled with those benefits, the kit can also be used to calculate route directions, search, and display traffic. Developers should keep in mind that a key is required to get started. The SDK uses languages JavaScript, C#, C++, and Visual Basic. Because the languages might involve different resources, Microsoft displays instructions for diverse preferences. As an illustration: Visual Basic, C# and C++ developers can find links to required components, the Bing Maps SDK for Windows Store apps, and code samples in the Getting started with Bing Maps for Windows Store apps topic. The Bing Maps SDK for JavaScript is based on Bing Maps AJAX Control 7.0.
