Google has begun pushing out Google Play Services 4.4 and along with it a host of new APIs for developers to use in creating applications for Android devices. This new version of Play Services stuffs in improvements to maps, location services, game services, mobile advertisements and Google Wallet.
Shoudio is an amusing iOS application made to tag places with audio snippets. These can be anything a user imagines, and a lot of fun could be had with this. For example, integrating this into Geocaching could be a lot of fun, allowing things like audio hints to help Geocachers find the cache. However, the developers of Shoudio didn't want it limited to just one platform, so they released a Shoudio API to allow clients for other platforms, and fun mashups.
Yesterday, Stripe launched its third version of Capture the Flag (CTF3). The first two editions of CTF were purely focused on security issues that developers face in the real world. Stripe has expanded the scope this time around. PW caught up to Stripe Engineer and CTF co-founder, Siddarth Chandrasekaran, to learn more about CTF.
