The 12seconds API provides developers with the ability to grab and mix content from the 12seconds site in a number of cool ways. This alpha release of the API is a set of simple HTTP requests to our API server that returns XML for your mashup pleasure. You can grab a single user's videos, the videos of that user's friends, metadata about a single video, and videos matching tags.
12seconds.tv has released the first version of its API, allowing developers to integrate the service, which lets users record "video status" updates no longer than 12 seconds, directly into their own sites. Their new REST API is currently only read-only, providing methods to retrieve a user's video or their "friend stream," get information about a specific video (including its playback URL), and search videos by tag.
