I am a professional software developer but I've had to hire 2 sub contractors to get past the Ouath authentication (because the documentation is gibberish to me). That part only works partially. The automated trading part is simple compared to this getting the authentication handshake to work correctly.. I work in VB .Net and there are no working examples in that language (or really any language). So if you ever get anything working, post it in as many places as you can so others can benefit. weidner 12:42 AM Nov. 09 2012 reply Search EtradeOauthSample on github pbilka 4:08 PM Nov. 29 2012 reply krandor: were you able to devise a way to obtain the "verifier" string (what you pass to GetAccessToken) programmatically? AdamRichter 5:22 PM Feb. 14 2013 reply The TradeKing API also used oauth, and their are some code examples in the TradeKing API documentation. Here, for example, is a link to some ruby code that worked for someone: http://community.tradeking.com/groups/tradeking-api/forum/topics/9572-tr... . Maybe you could try adapting that to the e-trade API. AdamRichter 5:24 PM Feb. 14 2013 reply Sorry for typos. I meant to write "The TradeKing API also _uses_ oauth, and _there_ are some code examples...."
