The IBM Watson Conversation API simplifies the virtualization and automation of customer-centric communication channels. The API is equipped with machine learning tools, artificial intelligence capabilities and natural language understanding to allow developers construct app-based bots and remote agents for automating customer engagement platforms. Developers can use the API to equip websites with interactive features such as chatbots for automated responses to inquiries and integrative social media channels for instant messaging. The IBM Watson Conversation API sends HTTP requests and returns JSON-formatted responses.
