The Mozilla Idle API provides a power saving module that is programmed to convey signals to an app whenever a device such as a mobile phone is not in use. The app in turn instructs the devise to retreat to idle mode and save power consumption. The Mozilla Idle API does not conform to W3C standards, and is supported on Firefox OS. This feature is not part of any specification.
