The Mozilla Network Information API conveys data of the connectivity statuses of devices to networks such as Wi-Fi and cellular networks. This allows users to determine whether connection can support high-definition or low-definition content access. The API currently supports only mobile browsers for Android and Firefox Mobile (Gecko). It is still a beta release and subject to future changes.
