The Mozilla Push API expedites the conveyance of messages between web applications and servers. Its integration allows developers to implement the delivery of asynchronous notifications and updates to opt-in messaging service users. The API’s desktop and mobile versions support only Firefox (Gecko) and Firefox Mobile (Gecko), respectively. It is still a beta release and subject to future changes.
