The NASA SSD/CNEOS Fireball Data API allows developers to request records from the dataset on fireball and bolide events. A fireball is a very bright meteor, while a bolide is a fireball that explodes in a bright terminal flash, often with visible fragmentation. Records retrieved by the API will include the fireball event's date, time, geographic location, and altitude and velocity at peak brightness.
