The Open Source Initiative API is used to build applications that are "license aware" which means that any business can determine if the license is open source or not. This API stores a list of common identifiers of services which allows a user to take a Software Package Data Exchange (SPDX) ID, and know if it is approved by calling the Open Source Initiative API. This API returns specific information about a license such as if it is obsolete, popular or OSI Approved.
We've added Fifteen APIs to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Notifications, Music, Goals, and Credit Cards. Highlighted today are an API for Digital Bible Platform, and APIs for a musical visualization platform and a goal platform. Here's a rundown of the latest additions.
