The openEO API lets cloud back-ends with large Earth observation (EO) datasets communicate with applications in an interoperable way. Developers can use this API to discover Earth observation data and processes from cloud back-ends, execute (chained) processes on back-ends, run user-defined functions (UDFs) on back-ends, download results and manage user content including billing. openEO is a part of the Horizon 2020 project and funded with a grant from the European Commission to enable the exploration of space and satellite data.
