OpenStack is using the Karbor project to advance its data orchestration and metadata protection programs. The Karbor, a project was previously known as the OpenStack Smaug, focuses on the prevention from loss or damage of applications that are deployed in the OpenStack platform. The OpenStack Data Protection API provides accessibility to information that concerns the types of applications that can be protected by Karbor.
