Newman by Postman is an open source tool that can be used to run and test Postman collections directly from the command line. Among the best ways to use this CLI tool are running Newman with a local JSON file, running Newman with the latest collection URL, and integrating with a CI/CD pipeline.
Postman has announced the launch of the Postman API Network, a growing list of available public APIs, each of which supports its Postman Collections tech. The Postman API Network helps developers find APIs and in turn hopes to help API providers facilitate developer on-boarding.
Postman announced the addition of multi-region support to the monitoring feature. Multi-region support allows developers to run API tests from selected geographical locations. There are six regions developers can choose from including US East, US West, Canada, EU, Asia Pacific, and South America.
The latest release of Postman (version 5.0) includes Pro features for free. Now Postman users with free accounts have access, with usage limits, to Pro features such as mock servers, API monitoring, automatic documentation generation and publication, and the Postman Pro API.
