Rome2rio is an API to discover travel itineraries from all around the world. Users can search various travel modes including plane, train, bus, car and ferries. The API provides access to over 700 airlines & 2 million surface routes in the database. This includes rail coverage in Europe, India, Egypt, Morocco and China; and intercity bus and rail coverage in North America (USA and Canada). The API uses HTTP calls and responses are in JSON.
The following is a list of libraries from ProgrammableWeb's Library Directory that matched your search term. Although there many different interpretations of the word "library" among software developers, ProgrammableWeb adheres to a specific definition so as to clearly distinguish libraries from SDKs and frameworks in a way that will facilitate clean search results. In ProgrammableWeb's parlance, the term "library" is strictly used to describe a platform-specific software tool that, when installed, results in the provisioning a specific API. Conversely, SDKs are exclusively for consuming APIs and Frameworks are agnostic to specific APIs. If you think a library, SDK, API, or other asset is missing from our directory, be sure to check our guidelines for making contributions to ProgrammableWeb.
With Rome2Rio, users can discover how to arrive to any place in the world by plane, train, bus, ferry, and automobile. The Rome2Rio Ruby library by Alex Beregszaszi allows to interact with the API features that include point to point search, multi-hop planning, global coverage, and geo-coder technology just like the functionalities that can be seen in the Rome2Rio website. The author created this project for Soundtravel, a website that plans an entire travel itinerary to follow favorite world concerts. More at http://soundtravel.co/
