Stellar is a platform that helps developers in building financial products and applications. It features a decentralized distributed database, Multisig, and smart contracts. Horizon is Stellar's client-facing API server that connects to the ledger (Stellar Core). The Stellar Horizon API is REST based and returns data in JSON format. It is used to submit transactions to Stellar Core, check the status of accounts, subscribe to event streams, among other functions.

The repo is the home for all of the public go code produced by SDF. In addition to various tools and services, this repository is the SDK from which you may develop your own applications that integrate with the Stellar network. The repository depends upon a number of external dependencies, and Glide is used to manage them.
The Stellar Ruby SDK by Stellar offers a financial application development platform designed for Ruby applications. It requires libsodium, installable via brew install libsodium on OS X.
