The MobileEngine API offers an image recognition platform that can be integrated with existing applications. This API takes an image an compares it with a database of photos and product images, while being fast and accurate. This interface can be used to identify books, wallpapers, magazines, CD covers, artwork, and developers can build searchable product catalogs for end-users. The API uses HTTP Basic Auth for authentication, and JSON and XML for responses.

This list represents on combination of both tutorial types and if you go to ProgrammableWeb's API University, you'll not only be able to find more, they are organized based on your role (API providers or developers who consumes APIs).
