Among other things this allows out of print books to be made available for consumption in a free and legal manner. Via the web site, users can discover books, add them to a personal wishlist, comment and share. Additionally users can pledge to support a campaign to fund relicensing of works. The API makes some of the data from the site available for developers to integrate into their applications. Full documentation for the REST/JSON API is available upon registration.
