The FIRE API is a USFS service that provides access to forest service data and logs Current Large Incidents. The data is available as a single day kmz, or a remote csv. This service retrieves any day of logged large incidents and returns it as geoJSON. It returns the object of a parameter date's large fire incidents in JSON or JSONp. The Forest Service manages public lands in national forests and grasslands, which encompass 193 million acres.
