The W3C Task Scheduler API document specifies an API that allows developers to schedule tasks to trigger at specific times. It can schedule multiple tasks and get a unique ID for each one. The API can wake the system from a sleep state, and scheduled tasks are not lost when the application is closed or the system restarts.
