The API requires token based access via OAuth2.0 authentication, and HTTPs for POST, DELETE and GET to utilize JSON data that includes services for; Advanced Hunting, Alert, Machine and more. The Windows Defender platform provides a way to support enterprise networks with prevention, detection, investigation, and response to advanced threats.
