Wormly is an uptime and server monitoring service. They offer server monitoring that help users find out why their servers crash so they can solve the underlying problem. They use a technique known as agent-based monitoring, which allows an external service such as Wormly to monitor internal server health and performance in a secure manner. The data collected is summarized and presented in graph format enabling users to observe the performance trends of many critical system parameters. Wormly can also be used without installing the agent on a server. In this case users still have access to all externally measurable performance metrics and their associated trend graphs.
The RESTful Development API allows users access to some of the functionality of Wormly. Responses are formatted in XML, JSON or PHP. An API key is required.
